What is Involved in the Dental Implants Procedure?
Surgery Stage
To get the process started, we will take a detailed 3D scan of your teeth. This will help us create your bespoke treatment plan, creating a smile that is tailored to your bone structure. We will then move on to the surgery phase. Any surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic, however we do offer a sedation service for our most nervous patients in Buttsash. The dental implants will be inserted painlessly into your jaw, and stitches will remain in place for 7-10 days.
Integration Stage
During the integration stage, we will wait for the implants to fully fuse with the jawbone. This can take between 3-6 months, but you will be provided with a temporary tooth solution during this period. Once this has completely healed, your new smile will be almost ready to show to your friends and family!
Prosthetic Stage
Now that your dental implants are fully fused with your jawbone, we can move onto the tooth restoration stage. An impression of the area will be made, and we will create a tooth that will fit perfectly. Once completed, one of our expert dentists will join your prosthetic tooth to the implant. You can now smile and talk normally – your new smile is ready!
Aftercare

They can. We offer the ‘All-on-Four’ service here at Forestside, whereby four implants are fitted to stabilise your existing dentures. This ensures that they no longer slip, so you can eat, drink, talk and laugh with total peace of mind. There is no bone graft required with this particular dental implant procedure, making it much quicker to complete the procedure as well.
